Heroes and Teams

Your teams are built by collecting heroes at the Summon Gate.  Each hero has special attacks and skills.  The more stars           a hero has, the more powerful are their ultimate statistics.

Be patient.  You will start by building a team of 2* and 3* heroes.  Over time you will collect 4* and 5* heroes.  As your inventory grows, be prepared to retire characters to the secondary ranks even though you worked hard to level them up.  Such is the way of things, and they will still be working for you in the Alliance Wars.

Team Construction:
As you collect heroes and build teams, look to build a Max Stats Team where you put your most powerful heroes.  This team should eventually have
- 1 hero of each color
- at least 1 healer, 2 is better
- skills that hit all enemies, or help all allies
- skills that reflect damage, steal or clear buff ups from opponent, or clear down buffs from your team

You want 1 of each color because when you attack with that team, shield matches made with colors not present in your team hit your opponent for almost no damage.

Team Slots:
You start with 5 Team slots defined in your hero inventory.  Use these to organize your saved heroes and make sure you don't accidentally consume ones you want to keep longer term when leveling up other heroes.  Over time you may want to buy more Team Slots with gems in the Shop to help you keep more of the valuable heroes.  For Alliance Wars, you want to eventually build up 6 Teams of fully leveled heroes.  I currently have 13 Team slots.

Summon Gate:
Save your gems for the Summon Gate, do not waste them being impatient on construction times of buildings, or buying materials you can win in combat.  Then, hoard your gems until you have enough of them to buy a 10x summons at Legendary level.  This is the best way to get the most of the strongest heroes.  It is the best way to get 5 Star heroes, and also has a chance of triggering a Bonus Summons for the Special Character that is being advertised at that time.
